House makeover

We did a little beige-be-gone last month. To be honest, we didn't do it ourselves. We're not great painters, but we found an amazing painter who came to our house for a few days and worked his magic. He put fresh bright white on all of the trim, baseboards, and ceiling. We did this as kind of an afterthought, but it has ended up being my favorite part. It looks very clean. Our walls were painted in Benjamin Moore's Stonington Gray. I went through a whole lot of gray paint samples before choosing this one. Some of them were very blue, some were too dark, some too light, some too purple. I was getting a little concerned about what it would look like covering every wall upstairs. Now that it's done I'm very happy with it, and best of all, it doesn't look like we did it ourselves!

We have decorated the walls since some of these pictures were taken, so it looks like my typical thrown-together mess of family photos and etsy prints, but I did try to plan a place for each piece and show some restraint. :)
