Believing revisited

Remember this post? Remember when I said I believed I could lose 10 lbs.? We're proving the power of belief again. I've lost 11 lbs. since starting a pretty strict diet and exercise program in January. Although I wish I could just lose weight and it would stay off forever, I think any successful diet requires a full lifestyle change that will be at least somewhat permanent, and the diets that I followed have taught me a lot about what I eat (and how I used to snack, ummmm, all day long) so even when I don't necessarily follow them to the letter, I'll still hopefully have healthy habits in place. These are the two sources I've been using:

The 4 Day Diet (The bad news is it lasts more than 4 days. The good news is it works. At least it did for me, and if you are looking for a diet, I would recommend this one. Although really low in calories some days, it's very healthy eating, mostly focusing on fruits and veggies, adding in lean protein, and there are even some days you can eat pizza or a hamburger. Plus, there are exercise plans every day).

Flat Belly Diet (I decided to get this one when I finished the 28 days of The 4 Day Diet, just to change things up. The title appealed to me because I carry my weight in my middle - such a stubborn place! After the first four days of the diet which are low in calories and very bland due to not having any salt, I am really feeling like I'm feasting. I eat monounsaturated fats like avocados, seeds, nuts, etc... at every meal, which really keeps me feeling full. Exercise program here too).

I'm feeling good, exercising 6 days a week, and I've signed up to run a race in June. If you would have told me all of this a few months ago, I wouldn't have believed you. Thanks to those who believed in me! I am giving the power of belief to anyone who needs it. You can do it! Now I just need to work on earning that million...

I think it's the key to most things in life. It's funny that sometimes it's so hard to believe that we can do something or that we deserve something. I believe you Can get that million!!
