I'm sure Evan was born not too long ago. I remember holding this content little baby. He slept in a crib right next to our bed because we couldn't put him in his room which seemed sooo far away. He erupted little teeth so much sooner than Miles. Soon little perfect curls started appearing on his head. He had the roundest cheeks, and the sweetest smiles. And the nastiest ear infections. He is the baby...the one always trying to be as big as his older brother. I still push him in a stroller when I'm in a hurry to walk Miles to school on time.
So why is it this baby is starting preschool? I feel like I'm letting him play pretend with his little backpack (packpack). I don't think I really processed sending Evan off to school until I took him yesterday and he waved at me with a little fat wrist and he just seemed so small I wanted to run home with him. He has been anticipating the fist day of preschool for weeks as he watches Miles get ready for school. He was sure he needed a lunchbox, and the morning of his first day he stuck two little fingers into Miles' hair gel, smeared a big glob on his head, and said, "I'm ready for school. And I smell good."

They grow up so fast! Cooper got up today and started asking how much longer until pre-school. He was so sad to learn he didn't get to go until tomorrow.
