I Love Colorado

I was born and raised in Colorado. I thought I knew my home state pretty well, but I discovered a new side of it this week when we took a family vacation to the Centennial State and headed to the Southern portion. Far from my hometown in Northern Colorado is a wild frontier of castles in the mountains, small towns, countless geothermal pools, alligator farms, and even a UFO watchtower.

For some reason the sky in Colorado looks like home to me.

Of course, one of the best parts of visiting Colorado is seeing my family and friends. My sister has become quite the cake decorator, so she had me scan a picture of a robot Miles made and she transferred the image onto his birthday cake. Miles loved it.

There was also the dairy to visit, grandma and grandpa's park to play at, and a fun stay at a bed & breakfast in the #2 hotspot for UFO sightings in the U.S.

The trip was as eclectic as my home state.

R and I might be moving to Denver as soon as this fall! If not, we think that we will still end up there. I need to ask you all about it.

Kirstin, no need to be sorry, that's just what happens with kids. :) He didn't seem to get hit as hard by it, and I think he's on the mend already.

Desi, I'm glad you enjoyed Zippy. When can we help you move?
