If you have noticed the last two pictures of Evan, his curly locks were looking like a curly mop. It was time for a haircut. I put these off as long as I can because I have fear each time that they will cut off all the curls and they won't come back. Every time I tell the nice lady cutting his hair that we like it to be kept long. Well, long didn't translate this time. Evan's hair is SHORT. I got the haircut done when Miles was at guitar lessons. When Miles got in the car and saw Evan he immediately got tears in his eyes. Then he cried in earnest. Evan saw his reflection in the mirror and cried. All morning he pointed to his head and said, "Oh, my hair," and whimpered. The short hair is still curling so I am confident (and desperately hoping) that it WILL come back - SOOOOOON! We miss Evan's curly mop, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to take him near a pair of scissors.
p.s. Speaking of hair, here's a funny Evan story for ya. We were listening to The Killer's song "Human." It says, "Are we human? Or are we dancer?" The kids love to dance to this song. After listening to it a couple of times, Evan started singing with it, "Are we human? Or hairy monsters?" Listen to the song on playlist and laugh.

Oh that is so sad. I took Seth to have his hair cut last week and he had a similar reaction. I am sure it will come back. It seems like it is only those first little baby curls that are at risk of never coming back once they are cut. Evan seems to have a firmly established curly head.
how funny! i can't stand the idea of getting ethan's hair cut. i think we won't end up cutting it until he's 5. all of this coming from a daughter of a very talented hair stylist...
and i thought you last post was a riot. i say just give in to the clutter- you have two boys for crying out loud!
Ethan will probably be safe in the hands of a capable stylist. He has curls too doesn't he? They are just too hard to cut!!
