"Grils"
Barbies, the color pink, soft music, and dolls cause Miles to make gagging and choking sounds. Being very committed to his role as a boy, Miles balks at anything girly (although he tries, he always pronounces it "grily.") He was even embarassed when they were learning about the color pink in kindergarten and he had to color pink things all day. Since I am the only "gril" in this house, he isn't exposed to much in the female world. But the boy does enjoy playing with grils. He is playing with a little girl right now and it makes me laugh to see the differences in how they play. He wants to "blast things off" and "attack the monsters" and she is trying to tell him to "pretend to be a mailman and she'll be the maillady" and he needs to say "oh, this is a nice letter." I think Miles is getting some good training from his girl friend about communication. She tells him what to say, and he says, "I'd be embarassed if I said that." Funny how boys and grils don't change too much as they grow up.

Thanks Lindsey! You will love having two boys. They will probably encourage each other to be snowboarding/skateboarding pros.
