Random Pictures

This is going to be a post of random pictures for several reasons. The end of the school year is almost as busy as the week of Christmas. End of the year parties, teacher appreciation week, talent shows, projects, not to mention birthday parties...and to top it all off I've had something like mono or strep or some awful cold that has rendered my brain only half useful. There were quite a few days that I could not make it through without a nap. I'm a person that normally doesn't like naps. I'm also a night owl, and my kids have been waking up about an hour earlier than normal because the sun's been coming up earlier. All of this added up has left me in a bit of a stupor that reminds me of when I had a newborn baby. Today I have not needed a nap, so I'm feeling much better, and I'm even able to communicate in full sentences! This is the last week of school, and I'm looking forward to the summer as much, maybe more, than my kids. Let the good times, and lack of schedule begin!!

And on to the random photos. Evan now rides his bike, and he loves it:
I borrowed from my husband and kid's Mexican heritage to celebrate Cinco de Mayo:
Miles was chosen one of only two first-graders to perform in a talent show in front of his entire school - almost a thousand kids! He played the Beatles "Yellow Submarine" and all the kids sang along with the chorus:
In other exciting moments from Miles' life, he scored two goals - the only two goals, in his most recent soccer game:
I love this face Evan made, showing his excitement and embarrassment, when the waiters at Chilis sang to him on his birthday:
