This was one of my favorite books when I was little. Strega Nona was a witch with a magic pot that made endless piles of spaghetti. I remember loving this story so much that I "read" it to my friend before I knew how to read.
Now that Miles can read most children's books I have been thinking about books I loved as a child. We have a few of our favorites from our childhood: The Little Bear series, Mark's favorite book, Sticky Stanley, and a collection of Peter Rabbit.
Do your kids have favorite books or do you remember any of your favorite childhood books? Also, if any of those favorites included stories about robots that would be even better. :)

We're partial to "Danny the Dinosaur" and "Sammy the Seal", but no robots exist in those. Of course one could always draw one in and write out a sentence or two for him. It could be a robot that throws the balls to Sammy or a robot that follows the dinosaur all over town to quickly put back together all that the overgrown giant destroys.
And never, never forget "Patty Reads to Baby" - that one gets laughs every time. You could use a robot voice to read it.
I had a favorite book that I made my older sisters read to me over and over again. It was The Barbapapas. Do you remember that one? We only had one book in the series about a family of colored blobs.
When I tried to find a copy of this book a few years ago, All I found was gazillion other people out there also looking for these books. They're very rare and when I finally found a copy for sale, they wanted over $300 for it.
I don't remember any books on Robots... but I do remember watching a television show called Small Wonders... the little sister "Vicky" was one heck of a robot.
Haaa! I could never forget "Patty Reads to Baby," Jessica. I will have to work on my robot voice. :) I remember laughing really hard when you read that book to me.
Natee, I have never heard of "The Barbapapas," but it must have been quite good to go for $300 now! :) Small Wonders does sound familiar - I forgot the sister was a robot. Too funny!
my absolute favorite book of all time is "the rabbit who wanted red wings". I'm not sure if it is in print anymore, but it used to make me cry as a little kid- guess i was pretty sentimental. :) but it's a great book!
Sticky Stanley wasn't my favorite. My favorite kid's book of all time was "The Blah".
Oh yeah, that's right! We have "The Blah" too, and I would definitely recommend that one to anyone. It is funny! L, I will have to look for "The Rabbit Who Wanted Red Wings." I was/am very sentimental too. I cry easily...
