I love overhearing a conversation between Miles and Evan, such as this one I heard today:
Miles: Evan, did you know you were born in mommy's tummy?
Evan: mmm hmmm
Miles: Evan, did you know your skin was born in mommy's tummy?
Evan: mmm hmmm
Miles: Evan, did you know your jaw was made in mommy's tummy?
Evan: mmmm hmm
Miles: Evan, did you know your brains were made in mommy's tummy?
Evan: mmm hmm
Miles: Evan, what did it look like inside mommy's tummy?
Evan: BONES!
(looong pause)
Miles: I don't know if it looked like bones inside mommy's tummy, Evan.

kids are simply the best. sadly, ethan has only the dog to talk to. she doesn't really say anything back...
