“Open up! We’re the deliverers of pizza!”

This is what Miles shouted through the door to get me to open up to their assault by water guns. It took a long time for them to get tired of that game. In the process my flowers, bushes and trees also got a good watering though. By the way, are you able to let your kids play outside without obsessively checking on them? I’m not.

I should have started a blog when Miles started talking. He has said so many funny things. His stories are told and retold at most family gatherings. Evan is showing signs of following in these footsteps with his burgeoning language skills. Today we went to the dinosaur museum to see a 3D movie and I bought the kids some licorice. Evan called it ridicalous (like ridiculous, can you tell I say that word a lot?)

I finally decided I needed to start a blog when I was telling Miles a story about how when he was a baby he found a bag of Hershey kisses which he wasn’t supposed to eat. He gave into the temptation and when he saw me he ran to his timeout spot, apologized, but then admitted, “YUMMY CANDY!” He loves to hear stories about when he was little, but I have forgotten most of them, and I know there were some gems. Hopefully this blog will be a record for Evan and Miles of their best years.

I'm glad you've started this blog. Sometimes I feel a little guilty for not writing down the early Milesisms and I'm not even his mother (:
